HISTORICAL COLOURS

Our “Historical Colours” range is based on a work originally published in 1934 by a firm of paintmakers called Thomas Parsons and Sons Ltd.  It was called “A Tint Book of Historical Colours”, and featured 136 colours in 'family' groups such as: Colours of Egypt, Pompeian Colours, Mortlake Tapestry Colours, Wedgwood Colours and Majolica Colours.  Their book was reprinted several times until the early 1960s when they ceased trading.
